What makes Veterans to Farmers unique?

Veterans to Farmers trains veterans in agricultural systems, technologies, and business operations for a fulfilling and sustainable lifestyle.

Who can sign up to participate? 

Any U.S. Veteran, all territories.        

 

What type of activity? 

Class and hands on instruction in Controlled Agriculture  & Hydroponics.  Class and hands on instruction in Market Farming and Vegetable Production in Soil. 

 

How much does it cost? 

Free. We always offer our immersive classes free of charge to veterans.  In some cases there is a paid stipend for the class.             

 

How long does the activity last? 

Depends on the class, visit website for current information.

 

What if I need help getting there? Travel and lodging? 

We have limited resources to assist with housing and transportation.  Its highly encouraged to have this in place if coming from out of state.   

 

Where do I sign up to participate, what info is needed? 

Our application season begins in February of each year, with applications and class schedules being available on the website then.  DD214 is required for proof of service.
