What makes this organization unique?
Our mission is simple: to give back to those who have given everything. Service Peace Warriors provides highly trained service dogs free of charge to veterans and first responders living with PTSD, MST, and other service-connected disabilities. By pairing service dogs with veterans and first responders, we help heroes reclaim their confidence, independence, and peace of mind.
Every Service Peace Warriors dog is trained with care, compassion, and respect for the bond between human and animal. These dogs don’t just serve — they save lives.
“They bring calm to panic, joy to despair, and the confidence to face each new day.”
Our name reflects what we stand for:
Service — to those who’ve served us
Peace — for those who’ve endured trauma
Warriors — because healing is a battle worth fighting

How long does it take to get the new service dog?
With our program, we do not have a traditional waitlist or timeline. Our dogs are already fully trained when we start our 8-week class, working with our veterans or first responders. The class is to teach them how to handle a service dog and prepare them for anything they might need in the real world. When it comes to the timeline from the application to graduation, it varies, as in our program, the dog picks the veteran or first responder. So we can have puppies as young as 6 months old to a fully trained service dog that is 2 years old go through the interview process. We are always looking for the dog that makes the connection with them. We also have some dogs that take longer to mature. Our Current longest wait was 21 months, and our shortest wait was 3 weeks.
Where does the organization get the animals to train?
As far as the dogs, we are not breeders, but we breed for our program, so we have the full of a and genetic history of all dams and sires as well as full lineage and health histories for our service dogs. This is done in an attempt to ensure the healthiest dogs possible are put out. We currently breed Eastern European bloodline German Shepherd Dogs, English Creme Retrievers (European bloodline Golden Retrievers), Berene-doodle, Goldendoodles, Labradoodles, and Labradoodle retrievers. Of course, all equipment is also provided free of charge.
