Deafinitely Dogs! is a non-profit organization that enriches the lives of people with disabilities by placing highly trained dogs, trained specifically for their individual needs. They strive for increased independence for clients and believe strongly in the dog/human bond.
Who can sign up to get a service dog?
Military veterans,
First responders,
Victims of traumatic life events (e.g. sexual assault),
or others living with mental illness as long as it is considered a disability under ADA.
How much does it cost for the vet to get a dog?
NO cost - pre, team, post placement training must be completed.
What kind of service dogs are offered?
PTSD and Hearing Dogs
How long does it take to get the new service dog?
1-3 years
Where does the organization get the aminals to train?
They required specific health and testing from breeders and donors.
