Mission: Provide military injured and their families with innovative and transformational programs that build confidence and improve lives.
Vision: To cultivate a nationwide community of veterans and their families that provides innovative, world-class programs, rooted in the mountains, to strengthen lifelong relationships and reinforce purposeful lives.
Who can sign up to participate:
Wounded warriors and their families: Vail Veterans Program helps to rebuild confidence and provide a sense of freedom from catastrophic injuries including: loss of multiple limbs, severe burns, spinal cord injuries, post-traumatic stress syndrome, and traumatic brain injuries.
How Much Does It Cost?:
Free of charge
What kind of activities are offered?
Through rehabilitative sports and recreation activities, There is a freedom in the mountains that can’t be found anywhere else. It invites us to abandon everyday boundaries and reconnect with our self-confidence and inner strength—and it’s the basis for everything we do.
Programs range from the adventurous to the connective, including summer and winter therapeutic recreational programming, caregiver-specific wellness events, Veterans Path to Success, and empowerment training.
Rock climbing, whitewater rafting, horseback riding, zip-lining, mountain biking, and fly-fishing.
Private ski and snowboard lessons.
