What makes the organization unique?
Finding Purpose Outdoors Foundation (FPO) is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit dedicated to honoring and serving those who have sacrificed for our nation by providing meaningful outdoor experiences—such as hunting, fishing, camping, and related activities—for Veterans, Active Military Personnel, Gold Star Families, First Responders and Medical Professionals. Our mission is to foster healing, promote care, camaraderie and appreciation through the natural power Outdoor Therapy and shared outdoor adventures. Finding Purpose Outdoors is our way of giving back to those who have given so much already.
Who can sign up to participate:
1. Veterans (Active Duty, National Guard, Reserves)
2. Gold Star Family Members
3. First Responders
4. Medical Professionals
How Much Does It Cost?:
FREE, the only expense to the participant is getting to the location (lake for fishing, link up spot for hunting etc.) and obtain any state or federal licenses (hunting or fishing license and or duck stamps). Otherwise, our nonprofit covers the event. Our goal is to remove any possible excuses to not attend and make it as easy and relaxing as possible for each and every participant.
What kind of activities are offered?
Archery,
ATV/Off-roading
Equine,
fishing,
Golf & Disc Golf
Hiking/mountaineering,
Hunting,
& Retreats.
How Long Do The Activities Last?:
Varies, usually a day but it's depending on what we are doing. Hunting and Fishing are usually one morning/evening or a combined full day.
