What makes the organization unique?
Finally Home Farm is an IRS 501(c)3 non-profit public charity dedicated to healing our mentally wounded warriors through Equine Assisted therapies, equine experiences and equine assisted learning.
Finally Home Farm staff are certified by the Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association (EAGALA) Military Services designation. Founder Tim Spradlin is also trained in Peer Recovery Support (by Ohio Mental Health and Addiction Services) and as a certified Community Service Chaplain (Church of God Chaplains Commission).
Who can sign up to participate:
FHF serves active military and military veterans, plus police, fire and EMS warriors.
How Much Does It Cost?:
FREE, THERE IS NO CHARGE for warriors or their families; our mission is our passion and purpose.
What kind of activities are offered?
Equine- We offer groundwork based equine assisted psychotherapy, equine assisted learning and equine experiences for warriors and family members.
Eagala is a revolutionary mental health treatment model incorporating horses who are highly attuned and offer a safe space for clients to discover their answers within themselves. The horse is a catalyst for experiential learning through metaphors, a mirror to emotions and feelings.
How Long Do The Activities Last?:
60 - 90 minutes once per week.
