Azimuth Check Foundation helps veterans and their families find their way by fostering community, identity, and purpose through year-round outdoor programs that promote wellness, resilience, and connection.
Azimuth Check Foundation (ACF) is a nonprofit organization based in New Hampshire, dedicated to helping injured veterans and their families achieve physical, mental, social, and emotional wellness through challenging and rewarding outdoor experiences.
ACF believes that wellness must be nurtured across all dimensions — physical, mental, social, and emotional — and designs its events accordingly. Working with adaptive sports partners across the continental United States, ACF seeks to reach veterans and first responders who feel they have fallen through the cracks, providing the support they need to thrive.
Who can sign up to participate:
Injured veterans and their families. First responders are also welcome.
How Much Does It Cost?:
All costs are free
What kind of activities are offered?
Hiking & Mountaineering — Year-round hikes including micro-spike and snowshoe adventures, offering veterans the beauty and challenge of the great outdoors.
Rock & Ice Climbing — Scaling, rappelling, and climbing adventures alongside fellow veterans and ACF guides.
Skiing & Snowboarding — Alpine skiing and snowboarding events in partnership with adaptive sports organizations across the continental U.S.
Deep Sea Fishing — Ocean fishing experiences that build camaraderie and social and emotional wellness.
Sport Events & Tournaments — Fitness challenges, golf tournaments, and other competitive sporting events.
How Long Do The Activities Last?:
Usually, one to two overnights. All food and accommodations provided at no cost to the Veteran.
