What makes the organization unique?

Founded in 2015, American Heroes In Action is a Denver-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides therapeutic outdoor adventures to American heroes — combat wounded veterans, injured firefighters, and injured members of law enforcement. Since launching, AHIA has funded over 431 participants across 125 outdoor adventures nationwide.

AHIA believes in the proven therapeutic benefit of the great outdoors and works to get heroes into nature through hunting, fishing, boating, jeep trail rides, hiking, whitewater rafting, and camping experiences — all at no cost to participants.

Who can sign up to participate:

How Much Does It Cost?:

Free — all outdoor adventures are provided at no cost to participants
