What makes the organization unique?:
NEADS World Class Service Dogs change lives.
NEADS offers fully-trained Service Dogs for United States veterans who have a permanent physical disability or hearing loss, or have MS or other progressive conditions. These disabilities do not need to be service related. The Trauma Assistance Dog program (TAD) is designed for veterans with diagnosed service-related post-traumatic stress who live within a 3-hour drive of the NEADS campus in Princeton, MA.

Who Can Sign Up for a service dog?:
NEADS offers Service Dogs for veterans with physical disabilities and hearing loss as well as a small program for veterans with PTSD.

How much does it cost to participate:
Service Dogs are provided at no charge for veterans who are eligible for our program.

What kind of Service dogs are offered by the organization?:
NEADS offers Service Dogs for veterans with physical disabilities and hearing loss as well as a small program for veterans with PTSD.

How long does it take to acquire the service dog after signing up?:
Due to the highly personalized matching process, wait time to receive a dog after being accepted into the program varies.

Where does the organization get their puppies to train?:
We have our own breeding program and also receive puppies from Guiding Eyes for the Blind and other respected Service Dog organizations.
