What makes the Iowa Veterans Outdoor Experience unique?
They provide opportunities for Disabled Veterans to enjoy Iowa’s great outdoors.
Who Can Sign Up to Participate?:
Veterans from all 50 states that have a 30% disability rating from the VA.
How much does it cost to participate:
The only expenses to the Veteran would be transportation to and from the event. For our deer hunts, processing of a second deer, the first one is on us! There is a $150.00 deposit required which is refunded to the Veteran upon arrival to the Hunt or Fishing Tip. (so pretty much free) We provide everything else, meals, non-alcoholic beverages, lodging and equipment if needed.
What kind of activities are offered by the organization?:
Currently they offer Bow/Crossbow & Muzzle Loader Whitetail Dear Hunts.
As of 2021 they now offer a Lake of the Ozarks Pan Fishing Trip.
How long do the activities last?:
4 Days. Currently hunts take place Friday-Monday and the fishing trip is Monday-Thursday
